In the near future, we will introduce new staff members and coaching staffs that will coach our 2023 international basketball tours. We will hopefully take our first women tour to Canada in July. We will be contacting players and coaches throughout the winter and spring and promote basketball in 2023.

After coaching prep school and college basketball for 35 years, I have decided to retire and will be without a team since 1980 when I coached 13 year olds. Starting with 9/11 and the covid environment, the travel business was disrupted and eliminated The Hoop Team tours. The Canadian/USA border was closed for return to the USA since 2020. International travel has returned to a manageable environment and The Hoop Team is prepared to relaunch and expand our international basketball travel. We will continue to promote basketball through camps, clinics, player development, basketball tours and recruiting. We will continue to focus on the middle atlantic region which includes Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and southern New York. Finally, we will slowly expand our camp offerings and reach out to college and high school students in the recruiting process.
Over 70 Division I, II and III players have participated in the Can-Am Challenge since 2000.

Coach Dave Springer
has led tours to Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Venezuela and Trinidad-Tobago over the last 35 years. He was an active member of the NABC International Coaches Committee before retiring in May of 2035.
